Abstract

"The purpose of this study was to extend previous research on parent training. Three parents of children with autism were provided with information about how to conduct a video modeling session. Parents were provided with written instructions from a website, frequently asked questions (FAQs) with answers (from the same website), and performance feedback. Target responses for parents were the steps necessary to conduct a video modeling session. The feedback phase was necessary for all parents. Two of the three parents met mastery criteria in the feedback phase. Further research should examine whether improvements in procedural integrity increase the effectiveness of video modeling as a teaching procedure."
