Abstract

"The purpose of the current study was to teach a parent to use video prompting with high procedural adherence using telehealth. Two individuals, a parent and child dyad, participated in this study. Sessions were conducted over Zoom video conference calls. A combination of enhanced instructions and in-session parent coaching were used to train the parent to follow the video prompting protocol to teach their child a construction sequence for three separate toy structures. In addition, the parent also conducted picture-only probe sessions to gauge the child’s progression with each toy structure. Results showed that while the procedures were effective to teach the parent participant to conduct video prompting, the child did not learn to complete all toy structures to mastery level."
